10th of April 2010

Happy Belated Birthday, Dots! I'm really looking forward to what you have in store for fans this year. I don't have anything much to say whenever it comes to Tsuyoshi. He expresses himself so well that I'm out of words to write. Anyway, enjoy one of my favorite remake by him.

Originally sung by Mr. Children.

Yesterday, a janitor knock my leg with the floor polisher!!! My sister and I think that he did that on propose cause he was initially cleaning the other side and when we walk pass, he came over with the machine and bang me and he did not apologize. Seriously, whats your problem? My legs are really clean and I don't need extra polishing.

I did not look back and glare at him after the 'bang' cause if he did that on purpose, I wanna show him that 'Oh no, it didn't hit me' pride problem and I was too shock to say anything. It's like your waiting for the next train and some random guy just come and punch you.

Actually, it was really really painful. I couldn't walk and had to limp for a couple of minutes. I almost cried but had to hold back haha. I didn't dare to look at my leg cause I was expecting something bloody but thank God nothing serious happened, just a couple of peeled skin.

One more reason to not like Sunway Pyramid =(

Music Monday #9

Try guessing who will be featured on this week's Music Monday. Hmm.. I blog about this person a couple of days ago, not under Music Monday though.. *hint hint* so easy to guess

Yup, it's Domoto Tsuyoshi! Did u get it right? Anyway, last time, I blog about Tsuyoshi's solo project. So today's entry will be about his solo song under KinKi Kids. You must be wondering what's the differences between solo project and solo song.

Well well.. Tsuyoshi's solo project(under the name ENDLICHERI ENDLICHERI, 244ENDLIX, Tsuyoshi) have very very different sound compared to his solo songs under KinKi Kids. He may not have any power house vocals but like his same, his songs from his solo projects are tsuyoi!(strong)

His solo songs, conversely, are more toned down which is not a bad thing. I think its more acceptable by the mass audience because it's not as deep and emotional as his solo projects.

One of my all time favorite solo song by Tsuyoshi is Breath which can be found in KinKi Kids' H-album

Some songs, they grow on you as you listen to it more. But this song, it takes only 1 try for me to like it. I hope you guys will like it too.

On another note,so far, my Koichi time lapse video had 485 views! 2 youtube users even rated a 5 stars for it. Haha thank you very much for the support!

Amazing Tsuyoshi pt2

I have no idea why I suddenly have the urge to visit Nara right now. But its impossible, so I set a picture of Sento kun (Nara's mascot) as my wallpaper.

Just kidding!

I spin Nara born, Tsuyoshi's solo project on my iTunes instead. I rarely listen to Tsuyoshi's non KinKi Kids related solo project because I think it's too deep, dark and emo for me. I admit that I'm shallow minded. I only listen to Sora ~ Utsukushi Ware No Sora.

I just realized that his songs are really beautiful.I really really like the 8th track 'Tsuzuru' from his Bigaku album. (Tsuzuru means to compose, as in compose a song) A little lengthy but he expresses himself really well. Makes me wanna visit Nara even more! But its okay.. one day, I'll definitely pay Nara a visit and in the mean time, I shall enjoy some Tsuyoshi music!

The Fruit of Midsummer

Happy 11th birthday to Kenshiro. It must have been really hard for a dog at such age to play around and be active like it used to be. Your owner really cherishes you, you lucky dog!

I'm way behind my study schedule and I really need to stop listening to those power house vocals emo songs! Oh

You know what.. There are 2 things that I really regret not buying from Taiwan 2 years ago! whats with the sudden change of topic? I think I've mentioned this before in the old blog, but will blog about it again cause I'm feeling the regret-ness now. Dayum! I should have bought the Seishun Amigo single. It's dirt cheap and I hesitated? Whats wrong with me?? And the second item.. Southern All Star's (SAS)album! I was holding it, preparing to buy it but why did I put it back?!?! Bodoh! They're a little old but their songs are really good! I personally love Tsunami and Manatsu no Kajitsu (The fruit of Midsummer) the most! My Japanese teacher loves SAS too!

There were a couple of remakes of Manatsu no Kajitsu..but no one beats Kuwata Keisuke (lead singer of SAS). EXILE's version was really beautiful but not enough emotions/spirit inside and their vocal range is not as big as Kuwata. Jackie Cheung's one is alright and so is Bonnie Pink. The worst was this group called A.G.E Not only they didn't do justice for the song..but totally killed it. SAS songs are very very hard to sing because of the octaves! But I really wish to see Tsuyoshi performing a SAS song. He definitely have the amount of emotions to sing it! He totally pwn the song Shirushi, a very emotional song (in my opinion) originally by Mr. Children.

I also enjoy SAS' collaboration with Mr. Children! Mr. Children are really good musicians and they're on my MUST BUY list when I go to Taiwan again next time which I don't know when So many CDs and DVDs to buy when I visit Taiwan. They'll probably mistaken me as a DVD seller or something.

Wow.. I actually did a Music entry.. how rare.Haha I usually try to avoid writing something music-ey cause I'm not so much of a music junkie and I don't know much about music. Though I took American Music and Asian Music in Uni Talking about Asian music, SAS was mentioned in my Asian Music unit book heh.

There were people who ask me "Did u listen to SAS because of Yamapi?" The answer is No. The person who intro-ed SAS to me was actually Yun Ho. He listed Tsunami as one of his "currently addicted song" years ago. I find it foreign, so went and Youtube it and really really liked that song.

Haha do you know this song is actually an insert song for Tsuyoshi's drama "Moto Kare"? When I heard it in that show..I was like OOOHH!!

I'll be blogging on another Japanese musician some time soon! Look forward to it

Oh my.. just re read this entry and finds the flow really bad! Sorry bout it! haha too lazy to edit it

You're my heart breaker

No no, no one's my heart breaker. I'm currently listening to "Heartbreaker" while typing this entry and right now the line "You're my heart heart heart breaker" is playing. Just fyi, this song is by G-Dragon who I admire his guts for being fashionably'different' from others. He reminded me of Tsuyoshi who said that "It's not about you willing to wear it or not but whether you have the guts to dress differently. What he said was quite true. One reason why we dress 'normally'is because we're concern about other people's view and we don't wanna be labelled as 'Lala'. Because of what Tsuyo said, I began changing my view on people who dressed differently from the 'norm' but still gutless to dress differently

Anyway..today's entry is about What my sister do when she have the iTouch on her hands?
