Inventing My Own iPad Application for Maxis

Meet Patchi Botchi, the brainchild of mine if to invent an iPad app for Maxis. The name Patchi Botchi does not mean anything specifically. I just want something that sounds catchy haha.

Basically, this app is for people who are tired of their wardrobe malfunctioning or people who just don't get dress codes such as smart formal, smart casual etc. You'll save a whole lot of time if you have this application because it thinks what to wear for you.

Firstly, you need to create an account. The second step is a little troublesome cause you have to input information of the clothes you have into your iPad. Once the data is stored, you don't have to do it again.

After logging in, it looks something like this.

Just key in whatever information you have

Click submit and tadaaaa~

Scroll down..scroll down

There will be three suggested coordinations for you to choose from. Once you've decided which coordination you would like to use, click on it and automatically it will be saved into your Look Book. You can also browse your friend's Look Book and get a rough idea what will they be wearing. I'm sure you don't wanna end up wearing the same outfit as your friend!

My Water Moments

Let’s go to the beach! Swimming, snorkeling, diving, banana boat… you name it

And how did I ended up here again?

If only I have a water proof camera that is temperature, dust and shock resistant, I would be inside there, underwater and not out here posing with fishes with a sad face.

*drum rolls* Introducing the world's slimmest water proof camera, the new Sony Cybershot TX 5 camera

Captures breathtaking underwater shots up to 3m deep for about 60 minutes, equipped with the Anti Motion Blur function and has the ability to take 10 shots per second, you’ll have no problem capturing yourself with Nemo swimming in the background when you go snorkeling. With this 10.2 Megapixel camera, you might even capture Nemo’s scales! Just the right camera for your underwater experience.

Those without the later version sof Photoshop like me would know that stitching panaromic shots manually can be quite troublesome. It’s even worse if your hand moves up and down and the shots taken doesn’t match. Worry no more cause this camera has the ‘effortless panaromic’ function. The Intelligent Sweep Panaroma will recognize subject movement and stitch things up automatically to create a natural looking panaromic shot. Easy peasy!

Besides that, TX5 also comes with the Handheld Twilight mode function. When the amount of light is limited, I prefer to increase the ISO then using the flash. However, one setback about high ISO is your picture will have a lot of ‘noise’ in it. Furthermore, you have to use a tripod or place it on a still surface for a better photo. The Handheld Twilight mode reduces noise and allows you to take cleaner and sharper images even if you hand hold your camera.

Like the Chinese said, a sparrow might be small, but it's five organs are complete. Just like the sparrow, this camera may be really thin, but it definitely is one smart camera.

Interested? Here is your chance to own one of it. Nuffnang Malaysia is currently giving away not one or two but THREE Sony TX5. All you have to do is write a blog entry with "My Water Moments" as the title and include the following in your entry:

-Take a picture!
-Tell us how it reflects the theme of ‘My Water Moments’, and how the photo could have been better if you had a water-proof camera like the Sony TX5.
-Mention the features of the TX5 in your blog post. For more information, click here.

and then, submit it here. Hurry, cause contest ends on the 4th of July!

Typhoon Generation

When I first saw the BlackBerry® Storm™ 9520, the first thing that came to my mind was "I want that berry!" The reason for the sudden impulsion is very simple. Just because it has a good name.

Whether its pets or non living things, I believe that naming is very important. I once name a stray cat Tatsumaki (Tornado) and it grew up to be one strong cat. And the other cat with a sissy name ended up as timid as a mouse. I bet the mouse freeloading in the food court nearby is even stronger than it.

"Storm will definitely help me to brainstorm" that was the 2nd thing that came to my mind. Most of my blog entries here actually the rainbow after brain'storming'.

I always have random Eureka moments BUT all the time, only 3 rainbow stripes are formed. The other 4 depends on lots of brainstorming.

Furthermore, I have really bad memory that prevents me from bringing my note book wherever I go. How to write down notes or write down my random ideas?

And when I bring my note book out,I won't be able to pack my camera along because of the size of the bag. My hand phone's camera is hopeless! I can't even take a proper picture of myself.

But,Blackberry Storm 2 has the right solution for me. I can make use of the fast network connection to get my ideas running, or snap like a pro with the 3.2MP camera with the auto focus function. Say goodbye to pictures like that:

(Picture taken using my current phone, before Photoshoping)

There is this song named A.Ra.Shi (storm) that I really like. The lyrics says arashi, arashi for dream. But, I don't want this Blackberry Storm 2 to be a dream phone. I want this berry! The power is in my hands,I will bring sunshine to this Storm or let it be the storm that inspires the Rain i mean Rene.

Celcom has always been working really closely with Blackberry. Of course, it will be the best Storm-tastic place to get a Black Berry Storm 2. Celcom might be the longest lasting cellular service in Malaysia, however it's not only for old peeps. They have the widest and most extensive coverage nationwide, compared to other cellular services in Malaysia.

Celcom has cool theme song and cool ads which features Wang Lee Hom! I'm not a fan of him but he's commercial sure is more interesting than any other ads on tv.

Check out Celcom's brand vision:
Our brand vision is about pleasing our customers and exceeding their expections. It is our goal to empower them with choices and innovative solutions that will give them greater control and freedom to live it to the fullest.

See..thats exactly what I need! And guess what? Celcom is currently giving away 2 Celcom BlackBerry® Storm™ 9520 to Nuffnangers. For more info, click here. Contest ends February 25th! So if you wanna be a part of the storm, better act as fast as a storm!

Why I like it Longer?

Short but sweet? I believe someone who immortalized his beloved’s beauty like Shakespeare would not agree on that.
When in eternal lines to time thou growest:
So long as men can breathe or eyes can see,
So long lives this and this gives life to thee.
Excerpt from Shakespeare's Sonnet 18

I ain’t no Shakespeare, but one thing in common between us is, I like it longer too. Not so much on time but on objects that comes in not bigger but longer in size.

-Why I like it longer #1

The living room is the heart of a house. To keep this ‘heart’ beat normally, family members and the TV plays a huge role. With this 17 feet (claimed by Dad) about 3 times of my height long sofa, all four of us (my family) get to sit on the same sofa comfortably and watch TV together. Quality family time together = I like it! And my favorite seat? The longest one of course!

I’m sorry that the first picture looks weird cause the sofa’s really long and I had to take a panoramic shot of it and lazy I don’t have the Stitching function on my Photoshop.

-Why I like it longer #2
One thing that my family really dislike about my dining area is there’s no fan! But we do have an air con which I don’t know whose stupid idea was it. Anyway, to ensure that everyone enjoyed their meal ‘coolly’, and to be more environmentally friendly, my mum decided to bring out the stand fan we bought some time ago.

BUT! I have no idea why is the cord so short! Tak sampai pun!

To overcome this ‘short’coming, Mum took out her secret weapon, the extension cord. And because Mummy likes it long, I like it too.

-Why I like it longer #3
Not so much of a wine/XO fan, but I still get a little excited when I see vintage wine, especially those which are older than me. I can’t help but ‘respect’ it as they are more ‘experienced’ than me.

Dad has a couple of wines and cognac in his collection too. Although they’re only household wine, all younger than me and not some château wine, my Dad still keeps it really properly.

Since 1997. 7 years younger than me. But Daddy thinks the longer the better and does not plan to open it any sooner, so I like it longer too.

-Why I like it longer #4
Because…I’m a girl! Why do girls fight against gravity by wearing killer heels?

Why are maxi dresses, long flared skirts and long tops + leggings so in trend lately?
Because we girls, short or tall, wants to look like we have longer legs. And the only way to ‘optical illusionize’ longer legs is through what we wear.
My sister, slightly shorter than me, is always in her favorite pair of Andre Valentino whenever she is shopping. Conversely, I who seldom wear heels goes for long tops of trench coats.

Yes, we sisters likes it longer.

-Why I like it longer #5
Known as the ‘taste long’ gum, Lotte Xylish chewing gum should really sign me as their next spokesperson.

I super love their gums especially the hyper cool black chewing gum, dubbed as the macho gum by Clair. The mint taste is enormously strong and long lasting unlike the ordinary chewing gum out there. Consuming one Xylish gum is equivalent to *I don’t want to name brands*’s gum.

Long lasting taste, Saya suka!

Last but not least, Why I like it longer #6
a. 4 inch wide screen with HD resolution
b. 5.0 mega pixel camera
c. Finger friendly fully touch screen
d. All the above

The latest LG Chocolate, like it’s name, long but sweet. And it’s even sweeter because Nuffnang x LG is giving out 3 sets of LG Chocolate phone worth RM2199. All you have to do is write an entry on ‘Why you like it longer?’ and don’t worry, you won’t get diabetes from all that sweetness. For more info, click HERE.

Color Me Corby

I really really like the color black. Chinese New Year, Birthday, Wedding, Xmas, whatever the occasion is, I wear black all year round. Until my amigos, Kim and Ashton gave me an afro ken plush toy on my 19th birthday last June. Afro ken is a Japanese character created by San X. 'Ken' means dog in Japanese and it's a dog with a fro, a colorful fro!

Thanks to little afrey, I started experimenting with colorful clothes.

Check out afrey's fro color and my top's color. Samsung Corby offers pretty much the same color too!

Plob, plob, fizz, fizz, Oh, what a corby it is!

After checking out some Corby ads on Youtube, I decided to give Gingy, a taste of Corby.

This is Gingy..with that annoying smile that I really really dislike.

But since Afrey brought me colors, I decided to be giving and gave Gingy a cupid pink off shoulder dress 2010's Spring-Summer must have item

And now Gingy looks so much more cuter. No more annoying smile haha

And The cookie that think that it’s a corby became bffs with not only afreey but also my favorite Jamaican yellow Rilakkuma. So cute right? heee

Anyone out there wanna have the same experience as Gingy? Check out Nuffnang x Samsung's Corby Carnival!

All you have to do is
Step 1:
Write a blog post entitled "Color Me Corby" about how colorful your life is, literally or not.

Step 2:
Take a picture of yourself with one of the colors of Samsung Corby.

Step 3:
Fill in the Submit page with your details, permalink and upload your photo.

75 nuffnangers with the most creative entry will get an invite to the Samsung Corby Carnival!

Guess what color did I choose?

Yellow! heee thats the Korean Corby ad by the way.

This outfit was supposed to be my next Fashion Terrorist series outfit. But as u can see, my hair is not ready and I prefer drinking my tea so.. there won't be any FT anytime soon.

So in the mean time, go and check out the Corby fun ya!
